Well hey there! So glad you came to visit my site today! My name is Tracy (Burnett) Brookshier and I am pretty sure all of the bones in my body leak creativity. I have a passion for art and designing and have had since I was a wee-little girl. You could always find me drawing, coloring, writing “books” and “newsletters” and building things.
I grew up in Bowling Green, Missouri with my parents, older sister and younger brother and a crap-ton of cousins. I grew up getting babysat down the road by my grandma; who babysat my other 20+ cousins; to say we are a close-knit family would be an understatement and I loved it; still do! I met my husband, Steve, in 2007. We moved across country to Connecticut in 2009 which is where I earned my Associates Degree in Graphic Design and did marketing for Milwaukee Tools.
We moved back to Missouri in 2014 and moved into as well as rehabed my husband’s childhood home in Vandalia; we love doing home improvements and renovations. I worked for a local sign & T-shirt business for two years developing t-shirt and signs designs and products. In 2016 after years of trying we finally gave birth to our first child, my daughter, Stevie Jane “SJ”. A little over two years later we had our son, Trace. These two definitely keep us on our toes and we love every minnute of it. SJ most definitely follows in my footsteps as she loves anything to do with art and drawing. Trace is surely to be an engineer like his daddy the way he enjoys tinkering around with things.
in 2017 I took on a new full-time position as Marketing Coordinator at our local Health Department and have been there ever since. I love the variety of creativity it allows me to do; from designing business cards/flyers/brochures etc., keeping the website looking good, to helping plan and run events. In 2021 we purchased our home in Bowling Green and have been doing renovations ever since.
I am a bit of a creative entrepreneur you could say. Graphic design has been something I have always done on the side, I also do photography, glass engraving, painting parties (The Thirsty Canvas) and am hoping to get a few children’s books published one day.
I absolutely love helping people take their ideas and make something happen; wether that be designing business cards, promotional flyers and/or logos. I also love creating websites from scratch as well as helping my clients with advertising campaigns, social media and making the most out of their websites.
